We are very excited to be traveling in June and July of 2014 to Papua New Guinea (PNG).  The origins of this trip started many years ago with an idea my daughter Kassidy read about in a devotion book to write to a missionary child her age.  Over time my other daughter Karissa got involved as the missionary family had a daughter her age as well.  Fast forward a few years and the missionary family came to live in our community for year of home service and our family was thrilled they could attend the same school as us!

That year turned into two for a variety of reasons and our family got to know them even better.  When they returned to PNG I promised Karissa I would do my best to take her there to visit her friend and help out with their mission work.

That promise will come true this June as Karissa and I will be traveling to PNG for two weeks of mission work with them.  We will be sent from our church and charged with delivering AudiBibles in a specific language.  An Audibible is basically a solar powered mp3 player, only it plays a format other than MP3 to make sure the Bible contents stay on it.

We have many details to work out for logistics so please pray for us as things start to fall into place.  We appreciate everyone's support as we move forward.
